International Game Festival 8th DBM Challenge Cannes - Palais des Festivals 14th - 14th February 2009 Individual Tournament – Unique Pool SCHEDULE The players who will arrive in Cannes on Friday, can go to the Palais des Festivals and enjoy activities and stands of the International Game Festival (free entrance).

REGISTRATION

Registration fee give right to the tournament participation, playing material, breakfasts, lunches of Saturday and Sunday.

Fee per player: 30€.

Every player who registers and communicates his complete, exact list before 7th February 2009 will be entitled to a 30 points « blood and brain » bonus.

RULES

DBM 3.1 – IWF Clarifications as accepted by FFJH.

400 AP, armies fully painted.

Scoring system : BB 3210 (same as for the DBM Challenge of Cannes).

Defender river forbidden – realistic terrain features are provided by players.

4 rounds of at least 3h30 each.

Blitz (1 mn per bound) to end undecided games, if one player requires it and until at least 12 bounds have been played.

Undecided games end on the defender’s bound.

Weather and Time rules played if one player wants them to apply.

How to gO to CANNES - PALAIS DES FESTIVALS?

By car
Arrive in Cannes by the Autoroute A 8. Go out at the exit n° 42 Mougins – Cannes centre ; follow the direction of Cannes. After the access road out of the motorway, go down the Boulevard Carnot to the sea. At the cross road with the main artery , go down straight on ( Rue Maréchal Joffre ) to the sea side where the Palais des Festivals stands. By train
Cannes station is served by all TGV and main line trains to Nice. Coming out from the station, the Palais des Festivals stands 200 m away, in the sea direction.

By plane
The international airport of Nice, 30km far from Cannes, receives regular flights from all the big european cities www.nice.aeroport.fr.
